This series of abstract curvilinear forms marks a development in Rosie’s work in which she seeks to delve into the divine feminine. Inspired by Pre-Columbian and European Palaeolithic cave art, these works recall the beginnings of eroticism, sexual potency and wild fertility. A fascination with the magnetism that exists between people is another source from which Rosie draws inspiration for her sculpture.

Rosie graduated from Newcastle University in 2007 with a degree in Fine Art before going on to study Historic Stone Carving at the City and Guilds of London Art School. She mainly works in marble and alabaster and is based in the heart of Sussex on an organic farm. She exhibits across the UK and has been awarded the Duke of Gloucester Award for Excellence in Stone Carving.
