on form is looking for a freelance Communications Manager

We are looking for an imaginative and energetic person to help our small, friendly team to deliver the next version of on form, the UK’s (and possibly the world’s) leading exhibition of sculpture in stone.

We need somebody to help deliver the digital side of our exhibition, as well as to enrich and strengthen our small team across all of our activities, whilst maintaining and enhancing our core values and goals. This job is open to everyone, regardless of their background. We particularly want to hear from you if you feel that opportunities like this are less available to you.

Responsibilities would include the following:

• Photography and video
• All social media, including collaborations with our partners
• Website & newsletter content
• Digital organisation of photos

This is a freelance position, with variable hours. From autumn 2021 you would work a few hours a week, telling the story of the build-up to the exhibition, covering the artists in their workshops and the curators, organisers and gardeners at Asthall. The hours and commitment would gradually increase, culminating in the exhibition itself, which is open to the public from mid-June to mid-July 2022.

This will involve a mixture of working from home, attendance at on form, and expeditions to artists’ studios. We are hoping to find a local candidate, but accommodation could be provided for busy periods.

We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills (written and verbal), is used to working within multi-layered projects, and pays attention to detail even when working under pressure.

The candidate must have good knowledge of social media platforms and photo-editing software.  A basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Mailchimp or similar would be desirable.

Hourly rate £20 per hour

Own vehicle essential; mileage and other expenses will be paid.
