Mindfulness Workshop – The Ballroom, Asthall Manor

12th November 2021 - 10:30 am - 4:00 pm

A Mindfulness Workshop – The heart of self-compassion with Delia Taylor-Brook

In this workshop, we will gather to dive gently into the heart of self-compassion.  We will explore what blocks us from being compassionate towards ourselves and discover ways of opening our hearts to our wounds and aspects of our behaviour that stop us from fully thriving.  We will also uncover ways in which you can begin to express a greater degree of kindness and acceptance of your limitations and allow your gifts to unfold in your life.

If you have attended my Mindful Self-Compassion workshop previously, you will find the content of this workshop goes further and deeper.

Cultivating a state of loving, connected presence can change our relationship with ourselves and the world around us.

The gardens and grounds will be available, so you can spend time there during the breaks and, weather-permitting, we may take some of our meditation practice outside.

The day will consist of compassionate mindful meditation, reflections and sharing on a theme, teaching input, poetry and inspirational readings and reflective time in nature to just be …

Timings:

We’ll start at 10.30am and finish at 4pm.  You’re welcome to arrive from 10am if you want to – for a coffee/tea and a wander in the grounds beforehand and to settle yourself.  Please meet in the Ballroom (situated just inside the front drive on your left upon your arrival.) Please arrive by 10.15am so we can start on time.

There will be a morning break for tea/coffee; lunch (please bring your own); and an afternoon break.

Tea, coffee and milk (semi skimmed, oat and soya) will be provided.

There are no shops in the village so please bring what you need for lunch and bring water.

COVID safety:

We will be gathering in the very sizeable Ballroom with a maximum of 12 participants so there is plenty of room to spread out.  Weather-permitting, we will have windows and doors open.  Crockery and cups will be provided for your lunch and drinks but if you feel safer bringing your own, please do.  If you wish to wear a mask, you’re welcome to do so.  Hand sanitiser will be available.  If there are any other needs you have in order to feel safe, please contact me.

Clothing:

It can be quite cold at this time of year, so please bring layers and outdoor clothes if you plan to wander in the grounds.

Cost:

The fee for the day is £58.  This is payable by the 9th of September please.  To book, please click on the link below.
