Explore ways of describing peripheral vision by overlapping washes of acrylic on canvas to create an almost completely abstract start point.

Once this non-pictorial part of the painting is dry, the focal point of tree forms can be introduced. We will be working mainly from direct observation in the gardens of Asthall Manor.

All materials provided apart from an A3 or A2 canvas board, A4 cartridge paper for notes and preparatory studies and tree photos for additional reference.
