Julian Rena

Much of my recent work has revolved around generation and dissolution. The forms taken by the few elements in the sculpture – the sphere and the egg and other fundamentas – give, I hope, a sense that they are growing, and could grow infinitely.These thoughts sprang from a startling composition of coloured stones I saw in the snow from my studio window.
